Summary: Disappointing design and performance 2008-05-08
Comment: I had high hopes for this device. I had looked around fairly thoroughly for a USB drive that I could carry on my key chain and that had a design to protect against losing the cap. This seemed to fit the bill. Unfortunately, the ring for attaching the drive to other items is apparently too small to fit on a standard key chain, and broke within two weeks. Additionally, the swivel design just isn't sturdy, the two pieces come apart fairly easily, and it just doesnt stay locked in place while in your pocket. On top of this, the device is bigger than most you'll find, and being a high capacity device, the transfer rate is fairly slow. To be fair all higher capacity usb devices i've tried have been fairly slow, so this probably isn't the fault of the designers.
Bottom line, the idea of the design is good, but they need to reduce the size overall, increase the size of the key ring attachment, and ensure the swivel pieces actually stay locked together. In the mean time I strongly suggest going with a sandisk cruzer slide. They only go up to 8gb and the slide is a bit looser than I would like, but the design is the sturdiest I've seen on a USB drive that will attach to your key chain.
