16GB Diskgo By Edge USB 2.0 Flash Drive

This flash drive worked flawlessly on my PC running Windows XP. When I upgraded (?) to Windows Vista, it refused to load (open) any of my encrypted files. I contacted Edge customer support (?) several times by email, but they did not acknowledge. They never responded. If you plan on running Windows XP for the rest of your life, this drive will do well for you.

I had high hopes for this device. I had looked around fairly thoroughly for a USB drive that I could carry on my key chain and that had a design to protect against losing the cap. This seemed to fit the bill. Unfortunately, the ring for attaching the drive to other items is apparently too small to fit on a standard key chain, and broke within two weeks. Additionally, the swivel design just isn't sturdy, the two pieces come apart fairly easily, and it just doesnt stay locked in place while in your pocket. On top of this, the device is bigger than most you'll find, and being a high capacity device, the transfer rate is fairly slow. To be fair all higher capacity usb devices i've tried have been fairly slow, so this probably isn't the fault of the designers.

Bottom line, the idea of the design is good, but they need to reduce the size overall, increase the size of the key ring attachment, and ensure the swivel pieces actually stay locked together. In the mean time...Read more

My thumb drive had been missing for some time. You know where it was....in the pocket of my cargo shorts. And then you know what happened right? Yes, it got washed, and then put through the dryer. Yes, that's right, the washer and the dryer. When my wife gave it back to me I immediately put in the laptop to see what might happen and it worked perfectly! That doesn't happen every day. So, just based on overall durability I give this product top marks, aside from the fact it has performed well over the previous 3 years I had it.
