I have used Corsair USB flash drives in the past and have been very pleased with their durability and reliability. The other Corsair USB flash drives that I own have lasted far longer than any of the other brands of flash drives that I have tried and I expect the same from the 16 GB USB 3.0 flash drive.

The Corsair 16 GB USB 3.0 flash drive has a similar design to the other Corsair flash drives. There is a detachable, rubber cap over the connectors and rubber molding over the body of the memory stick. The rubber molding allows for a firm grip on the drive and gives the impression that the drive is very durable.

I am however, disappointed that the flash drive does not come with a lanyard. I would think that this would be a simple addition by Corsair. I was also surprised by the size of the 16 GB USB 3.0 flash drive which is larger than any of the other Corsair flash drives that I own. I was thinking of giving this 4 stars, but I will give it 5. The reason is because this flash drive is so big that if you have 2 side to side usb ports then you will only be able to use the flash voyager. I guess you could use a usb extender, but it might decrease you read and write speeds. Regardless of its size, you can drop this in water or on the floor and you are fine. If I have to sacrifice space for a robust shield then so be it.

Purchased 2 of these 16GB flash drives and was surprised to see they had nearly doubled in size. If you were use to the older ones, you might be surprised. They are very fast in the transfer of data and very dependable.
