When this product works, it works great and does all the things it is advertised to do. However, when it does not work, it is a complete time-waster.

It has corrupted all of my encrypted files so they are unreadable (solution = reformat); and added files (with garbage file names) that fill up the flash-drive, and yet these files cannot be deleted (solution = reformat). I became so paranoid, I had to carry another non-encrypted flash-drive to back up the data contained on this Pivot Plus Flash Drive, which of course defeats the entire purpose of encrypting your files.

I am on my third replacement Pivot Plus Flash Drive from Imation, and my latest replacement is misbehaving as the original flash-drive did.

My final solution: I purchased an IronKey Personal 4GB flash-drive. It is more than twice the money than the Imation Pivot Plus Flash Drive, but worth every penny in reliability.
