These are the "basic" available USB drives at my Wal-Mart, so I have three or four of them for schoolwork. They're pretty sturdy (I've dropped them from a height numerous times) and despite being kept in the bottom of my heavily-used pencil case with all of my spare change, not a one seems to have a scratch on it. I've been able to use them on both my personal PC and the school's Macs despite not having done the formatting for both (which my poor sister did).

Their biggest downside, in my opinion, is how WIDE the drives are. If you're using a USB hub with horizontal side-by-side peripherals: beware. Two of these will not fit side-by-side in most hubs, let alone three or four of them. If you are planning to use a lot of these in a hub, get either lots of extension cables, a hub with peripherals on short cables, or a hub with vertical side-by-side peripherals.
