Summary: Ingenious: The only type of memory card I use 2008-12-11
Comment: This is an ingenious product.
I've replaced all my old SD cards (including some Sandisk "plus" USB/SD cards) with these cards or other A-Data Trio cards that are larger.
That way I finally have a single standard memory card across all devices I use, both the ones that take full-size SD and the ones that take MicroSD, such as any decent phone these days.
That's incredibly practical: For example, when on the road I can now use my phone or any computer around to download a new song for my car stereo or pocket MP3 player, or to send a picture I just took with one of my digicams.
I only wish someone would make a 4GB non-HC MicroSD card so that with this Trio adapter I'd have a 4GB card that works with both older SD devices, newer MicroSD devices and any USB port. But unfortunately non-HC 4GB SD cards only come in full-size SD form factor as far as I know.
To keep on ranting I'd also love to see those few manufacturers that are left finally give in and accept that SD/MicroSD is the defacto standard for storage in portable devices. Not Memory Stick, silly Sony. Not xD, silly Olympus. Not non-expandable built-in flash only, silly Apple.
Finally, I don't think reviewer James is fair in blaming the card because it "had been sliced in to by the camera's sd card slot". I'd blame his camera and its slot.
I also don't agree with James saying "don't buy this unless you just want it for the USB micro sd card reader part". If that's what you want, get A-Data's or Kingston's super small keychain friendly MicroSD USB readers. (A-Data's is the very smallest.)

Summary: something happened that i never expected 2008-11-22
Comment: so i put this in my camera and took some pics and everyhting was fine and dandy but when i tried to take it out it was stuck. after taking apart my $600 camera i found out that due to its poor design part of the card had been sliced in to by the camera's sd card slot. i had to rip it out by force... i could have destroyed my camera! verdict: don't buy this unless you just want it for the USB micro sd card reader part. it's a decent deal at a cheap price but be careful when you put it in your camera.
