The product in question is an ADATA USB Flash Drive, Classic C906, 8 GB.

I bought this not at Amazon but in a store close to my house here in the Netherlands. This flash drive was to be used in a live music situation. The keyboard I own (a Yamaha CP5) can playback wav files from its flash drive.

Before I recorded anything I inserted the flash drive into the keyboard and received an error message. I shut down the keyboard and tried it again. This time I received an 'illegal file' message.

I formatted the flash drive and transferred over 900 MB of wav files, about 25 files in all, to the flash drive. On playback a few of the wav files unexpectedly stopped before their completion. During the transfer there were no error messages. I formatted the drive again and copied the files one at a time playing them back after each new addition.
