Centon DSD8GB-010 8GB 2 USB Designer Flash Drive (Pink)

Good build quality. Noticed it was very very fast transferring files in WinXP, not as fast in Vista. My only gripe is the cap sits on top of the keyboard of my daughters aspire one and on my HP tx2000. That really sucks and is the only reason I don't recommend this product. Good product otherwise

I purchased this flash drive and it is defective. It is not recognizable on any of my laptops, and my work pc. I returned it. Also the top slips out of the pewter holster and falls off. Poor design and it's defective.

I bought the black version of this flash drive as a gift for someone (& rated it as very stylish in a Euro sort of way). I wanted to comment on the other reviewer's gripe about the cap sitting on top of the laptop when plugged in. Basically, it doesn't need to. The design allows for you to pivot the tiny strap that keeps the cap attached. The strap in attached to the back of the unit with a screw (an attractive one, I should add -- probably adds a welcome bit of machismo to the pink version if you're using it in a business setting.) I had thought the screw was just a pretentious design detail. BUT -- the screw is functional -- it allows the strap+cap ensemble to pivot 360 degrees and out of the way.
