I just received this drive this morning. It is small just under 2" .It is a swivel drive so no need for a cap. Although the key chain part does not swivel it is a very small ring that would break very easily . I use a case logic flash drive holder that fastens to my key chain. The transfer is acceptable. Just over a half hour for just over 3 gigabytes on an old computer with a 2.93 gHz budget processor. it has a bright red light to let you know when it is writing and over all it seems durable.
First stick drive to crash on me,

I have quite a few stick drives. I got about 7 months of good use out of this guy but then it started acting up. Excel files went first then pretty much everything else except a few simple txt files. My recovery software could only get partial files so the corruption was pretty extensive.
I always eject not just pull the drive. I bought this stick for its design (I'm not found of the drives that have a separate cap, which always gets lost). It could be a fluke but I'm now wordering if EMTec drives are more for fun than for serious work.
