This review is from: HP v135w 8 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive P-FD8GBHP135-EF (Blue) (Personal Computers) I transferred all my files to this device last month. Today I got an error message and can't access any of the data. I will take it somewhere to try to recover what I can. Given the amount of data that was on it, I'd be willing to pay a lot to get it back. I have learned to back up everything--too late maybe. I've had many flash drives over the years that have been used and abused and this was the first one to stop working. I would not get another hp drive if they were giving them away. By This review is from: HP v135w 4 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive P-FD4GBHP135-EF (Blue) (Personal Computers) I needed a flash drive for watching MP4 videos on our television using a PS3. This is just perfect.
Write speed is supposed to be 11mb/s and it comes pretty close to that on my desktop. It was recognized quickly with our PS3. The pros and cons of this of this drive are actually the same features. It's very small and thin. Easier to lose than bulkier flash drives with traditional USB connectors, but also easier to carry on a keyring or slip into a pocket. Since the connector retracts, you don't have to have worry about losing a lid to keep dust off the connector, but it doesn't close up completely. So I wouldn't keep it in a purse with my cosmetics just in case they came loose. |
