Comment: I bought the 8 gb version 6 months ago. It worked great for 4 months and since then just about every time I use it, it's un-readable and needs formatting. Also files copied from or accessed directly from the drive are incomplete or have errors, executable files won't run, etc. No errors were reported when files were transferred to the device, but the files end up un-usable. The errors occur on multiple systems.

No issues with speed while it worked.

Comment: I have more than 20 flash drives... Memorex, San Disk, Sony, etc. and this HP drive is the best yet. I use it for the Readyboost feature as well as for temporary storage. My Compaq (Vista) machine has 2gb of random memory and that's the maximum for this model, so I'm using 4090mb of Readyboost to supplement that. I know that some say Readyboost doesn't help speed things up, but I feel that it helps. The best thing about the HP flash drive is that it repairs itself when it goes amiss. When other brands lost their Readyboost capability, they can only be used for storage. This is an attractive little drive also.

Comment: There honestly is no doubt about the needs that HP knows with the accessories for their computers. They've shown it well with their printers and ink cartridges, and they have also got it well with their flash drives for computers too. This HP USB Flash Drive in a 4 GB memory has shown to work well with any computer or laptopthat can easily secure and store your programs, your MP3 music and video downloads, and add-ons that can help your P.C. whenever you need it. Sadly though, there is one big disadvantage with their USB Flash Drives. If you honestly buy and USB 2.0 extender, meaning you have bought any external add-on that adds additonal USB ports, it honestly will not work, unlike other certain USB Flash drives. Nevertheless, you'd have to directly plug it into your computer. Still, it handles very well,a dn HP knows how to show that well. I absolutely recommend it as a great buy for anyone who owns a great computer, and wants a second place to store their best in memory.

Comment: The flash drive is satisfactory, if a little pricey. One thing that they might improve is have the cover attached to the drive, instead of detachable where it can get misplaced.

The HP 125w 8 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive is an excellent product. I like several features of this flash drive.

First, the cap fits on the tail end. Being rather forgetful, I misplace caps. Without a cap the connection can collect foreign matter and decrease the quality of the connection to a computer.
This nice clear cap fits comfortably on the rear end of the drive, which solves my problem.

Second, the case is well constructed. Some of the other flash drives I have seen look very fragile, this HP drive is sturdy.

Third, this drive seems faster than others that I have owned. I transfers files twice as fast as the first flash drive I used, and about twenty percent faster than my HP 100w.

Fourth, a light turns on when it is working, and does not stop until the work is finished. This helps me monitor my work and ensure its completion.

This flash drive is the best I have used. I highly recommend this merchandise.
