Comment: This Kingston DataTraveler is a good "on the go" solution for anyone how needs to transfer files from computer to computer. The transfer rate of this flash drive is not very impressive when you transfer large files, but that is for the price.

Summary: OK for the price paid. 2010-08-29
Comment: This stick is a little cumbersome to open and close the protective cover. Seems to be a little slow to download to compared to others that I have. All in all, for the money paid it is an acceptable unit.

Comment: I brought this stick on 4-17-10 and I thought it was a wonderful stick and reliable until now. Recently, I lost important document files (at least 20 files) since windows report the files I requested as corrupted. I tried formatting the stick. After the format, the stick worked OK, but 1 week later, it corrupted more files. What a piece of garbage. Amazon shows that my return window has expired. I lost my files and money with this junk. Be careful, this works well in the beginning, but after a couple of month it goes into garbage mode. I trusted Kingston for my valuable files, but now I will look for another manufacturer with better storage reliability. Well Kingston, enjoy the money that you stole.

Comment: This drive has has a good transfer rate, and no activity light. I use it for my car stereo, and at night an activity LED is extremely bright. I had to black out my previous drive's LED with a magic marker, but it only subdued the light. This drive is very small as well.
The cover does slide shut with a small indent, but as another reviewer stated, the slightest bump will cause the cover to slide loose.
The back of the drive has two holes, which are made to slide the string from a lanyard through. I tried it, and it threads very easily, but I don't use that feature. The 16GB version looks exactly like the all-black drive in first three pictures.
If this wasn't so pricey (I got it for 37% off on a Gold Box deal), I would gladly get a second one carry one on my keychain as well using a nylon string. But I also don't need 16GB on my keychain. 8GB is already plenty.

Comment: Excellent for back up of important documents. I lost my hard drive a year ago. All my photo's and documents. I have three Flash Drives. One for photos, one for documents and a spare. The only complaint I have is that this flash drive does not have a way to attach a lanyard. Different colored lanyards help me identify what each flash drive contains. It is easy to lose. I rated it three stars because of this.
