Summary: Worked great a 1 year, but died afterwards 2010-02-10
Comment: I used the device a little over a year for word documents and transferring files between computers. However, I noticed it started getting a lot of errors on my new Windows 7 notebook, and eventually it crashed during a word document save. After that, it became unrecognizable to PCs and Macs. It should be covered by the 5 year warranty with Kingston, but I lost valuable data. I own 4 different flash drives, and this is the first to die on me. I would not recommend this product.

Summary: Outstanding product 2010-01-21
Comment: I purchased this product to replace an aging USB flash drive that I use with my Ubuntu Linux desktop computers. This product arrived sooner than the projected arrival date and worked perfectly in my Ubuntu 9.04 and Ubuntu 9.10 systems. The Kingston DataTraveler was recognized upon plugging it into my computer and I transferred 1.2GB to it without any problems. I recommend this product to anyone needing this type of device.

Summary: Great product at a great price! 2010-01-10
Comment: I have used Kingston product before and have had nothing but good experiences. I tried a cheaper flash drive to save some money but it fell apart. A replacement worked better but for some reason it wouldn't save folders correctly. As a result, we lost a lot of pictures as we were tranferring from one laptop to another. I will stick with Kingston from now on. It is very fast and holds a lot of data.

Summary: Worthless within 6 months 2009-12-16
Comment: 16 gigabytes, low cost, and convenient design. It's too good to be true for a reason.
After about 5 months, the drive began to fail. It would spontaneously stop displaying the contents of the folder and not be recognized by Windows, with the only solution being to unplug it and plug it back in. This is with careful handling and always clicking "Remove drive" before taking it out, by the way. Since I use USB flash-drives to hold important files, I could not keep using this one. It's a shame, because having 16 gigabytes worth of portable space was really useful while it lasted.
