Summary: Recommended 2010-08-23
Comment: I used this drive to deliver about 2,500 worth of professional photographic high resolution jpgs to a client. The photos copied onto the drive quickly & I've had no complaints from the client. I would recommend it & will buy another in the future.

Summary: Works great, is a best value 2010-08-13
Comment: Works as well as I expected for moving large files. Nice attractive cap that snaps on snug, but makes it a little big for keychain use. At least it is harder to misplace. I find the speed of data acceptable. There is a little LED under the semitransparent body to indicate function. I am happy with my purchase, a best buy in my opinion.

Summary: Can't complain, it's pretty good, let's see if it'll withstand time. 2010-08-07
Comment: First, I have to hand it off to them (dunno who "them" really is). Five days after purchasing my product, the flashdrive arrived in the mail. Quick and easy. Secondly, I don't know about the rest of you, but I didn't have to pay a penny for shipping and handling! Easy. Third, I like the fact the flashdrive can go onto a key chain. I mean considering the fact that I lost my previous flash drive b/c I couldn't tie it to anything, well, this is a huge improvement!

Sure, it's appearance could be better. But considering how much I bought it for (~$9),not too shabby, and for 4 GB.
Just a Heads up: my flash drive came with a trailer to Avatar, you know the movie, and a video promoting an online security program that has partnered up with Kingston. If you don't mind these little things, then you're good to go.

I'll update as Time goes by.

Summary: Won't stay formatted, difficult to reformat 2010-07-27
Comment: We bought five of these at work to use for repair disks and to transport images. ALL FIVE have shown signs of being unreliable.

If we're lucky, when installing a bootable image on it for the Mac, the bootable system on the C10 is usable for about 3-4 boots before it becomes unrecoverable. On mounting it on a mac, the Finder reports that the disk can't be repaired and it needs to be reformatted.

If we're not lucky, the c10 formatting becomes so corrupt that neither OS X Disk Utility nor Windows format tools can reformat it--they both report that the thumb drive is 2.09 TERRABYTES in size, and formatting attempts fail.

This didn't happen with one or two of these. ALL FIVE have failed in one or both of these ways. Sure, it could be a bad batch, but why take the chance.

We're hopeful we'll be able to return them, and I won't buy Kingston again.

The form factor isn't even very good. It's kind of fat, and the little cover is easy to lose because it is a separate piece, not attached. Over a week or so of use, it becomes less tight on the drive and starts to fall off of its own accord.

Summary: Great device, but beware losing the cap 2010-07-09
Comment: Hi, this is my third thumb drive, and, though pricey, I love the 32GB functionality, and its attractive look. I demoted it a couple stars, though, because of the cap design. Though it goes on stiffly and is unlikely to come apart in a purse or keychain (we'll see how stiffly it attaches over time), I don't like the fact that the cap completely disengages from the device and won't even fit over the back like a capped pen. This means that, when in use, there's a separate piece that must be placed away from the USB drive itself. There's also no way to attach a chain to the cap-end of the device so the two pieces could be held together loosely. That's a recipe for a lost cap which is disastrous in a device that cost over $70. Poor design in my opinion.
