Poor quality drives,

Avoid this particular "JumpDrive Secure II" line of drives at all costs.
My company recently purchased mass quantities of these things in 4 and 8GB varities. My immediate group has 18 people, and most of our drives (all but two, I believe) have failed in some fashion.
My group has had one case of an out-and-out failure where data couldn't be recovered; but in most cases, the drives either (1) stopped being recognized as valid USB 2.0 devices and fall back to 1.0 speeds or (2) require the user to remove/reinsert the drive multiple times before the computer recognizes it.
Case (1) is a little strange because when you insert the drive, Windows will give you the common error stating that you have a USB 2.0 device that would perform faster if you plugged it into a USB 2.0 port. I love this product due to the great security software. However, be aware, if you have a 64-bit computer, you will not be able to access the secure vaults (thus, no security). I have contacted Lexar and they were not able to offer any timeline as to when they would have a patch to fix this problem.

I was able to get my Lexar 1G SecureII working with Windows7-64bit after downloading "Secure II Software v2.0.0.1" from the lexar.com website.
