Great in concept, but totally flawed in execution. There is a huge bug in this item. All you have to do to hack into the unit is hold down the Key button and the 0/1 button for 2 seconds, and you are into the passkey setting mode, which allows you to set a new passkey, and then unlock the stick! So basically this item has no security at all. It only took me a couple of minutes goofing around to discover this by accident, so it's hardly secure! Worthless!

This product is a complete waste of money! First, the product shows 10 numbers on the code keys. In fact there is no way to choose between either of the two numbers on a given key. For example, if you want to choose 3 instead of 2, you can't. So, in effect there are only five "numbers" to choose from when you create your pin. It took four calls to their tech help line before they admitted to this problem (there is nothing in the user manual to explain). Then their tech support tried to spin this problem as a "feature" (if you can't fix it, feature it!). They tried to convince me that the inability to choose the number you wanted would make it harder for someone to figure out your pin! Actually, mathematically, it makes it easier by a factor of 5 factorial, because of the fewer numbers. When I asked for a refund because the product is not as advertised, they said they would only replace "defective" units. What a bunch of bull. In addition, when I tried to create a pin that is not the...Read more

The password encryption feature works very well and is simple to use. If you ever lose your password The ability to reinitialize the drive on the fly is a nice feature. Though, the major drawback is by performing this process you erase anything you previously had on the drive. The memory master is designed so that you can drag and drop files very easily. This is my second memory master. I returned the first one when it appeared that the drive was bad. Later I discovered the problem was that the drive must be plugged directly into the computer. It will not function otherwise. It does not work when plugged into a usb hub. One problem I still am having is that after uploading files I cannot access the drive to remove it from my computer. For some reason, it disappears entirely from windows explorer. As a result I cannot remove the memory master properly from the computer. The drive will keep blinking as if it is busy. But since I have no other choice I have to simply remove it from the...Read more
