Comment: Another brand in Sony's long list of flash drives, the Micro Vault Classic series combines effective media storage with sleek design. With 1GB storage capacity, the flash drive pictured here is probably the only one the casual user will need. While shiny and pretty to look at, the drive's casing is not nearly as tough as with the other models. And don't be surprised if someone sees it and asks you to light up their cigarette. Though the drive has a retractable USB port, the top is still vunerable to external damage. On the plus side, the Virtual Expander software not only compresses your saved data automatically, but shows you how it's done with a demo. And while data tranfer takes its time with larger files, it still gets the job done. Finally, an indicator light lets you know when it's safe to remove the hardware. The Micro Vault Classic is not the best that money can buy, but a nice piece of work nonetheless.
