Summary: Works. 2008-01-23
Comment: My drive works just fine. It reads / writes 1 gb file in a couple of minutes. From what I gather, this drive can be hit or miss. I simply got the one that worked well, while others did not.

Summary: S-l-o-w with Errors 2007-05-14
Comment: Bought a couple of these, found that they are extremely slow, and they are prone to errors, at least with MP3's, which makes me NOT want to trust them with more sensitive data. Running a disk cleanup seems to right the errors, but you shouldn't have to do that every time you save a new file onto the thing. Save your money, buy another brand. Kingston and PNY have been excellent, as has Memorex.

Summary: Good design but very slow in saving data 2007-02-17
Comment: I would not buy this simply because it is soooo slow. It claims to support USB 2.0 but it is worse than the old USB 1.0 in speed performance.

Summary: Worse than floppy!!! 2006-12-27
Comment: SLOWWWWER than the ancient floppy!!! Don't even bother with it. Takes literally 20 seconds to save a 30kb save in Word to this usb drive. My Kingston takes 1 second, and it's only Traveler I generation, not Traveler II, which is twice the speed of I.

Summary: Very Slow Write Speed 2006-11-10
Comment: I've been using one of these for several days now, and I'm switching back to my old SanDisk Cruzer 512. The SimpleTech USB drive looks cool, but it takes 3 or 4 times as long to write large (3-4MB) files as the much older Cruzer.
Stick with the major brands like SanDisk!
