I have had my SanDisk Cruzer Titanium for about a month now and have appreciated the fast transfer rates for large files. However, I have had some difficulty connecting the device to some USB ports because of two design elements:
1) The slightly rounded edge that the USB connector slides out of makes it difficult to get a connection to the angled front USB ports on the Dell Dimension towers we have at work. It's hard to insert the drive "blindly" if the tower is on the floor since it has a tendency to rock out of the slot.
2) The slightly increased width of the product makes it impossible to connect to some devices with recessed USB ports like my Toshiba M20-2257 notebook. While this is partly a design flaw of the computer and is also a problem with many other "wide" USB keys, the original SanDisk Cruzer keys did not have this problem.
I think I will need to carry a USB extension cord with me.

I was really excited about getting this toy after reading all the reviews online, but now that I've been using it for a while I'm somewhat disappoinsted.
Firstly, it's cover is made out of titanium, so "virtually" undestructable - but then, there is no protection on the usb connector, even when it's slid in. So dirt and dust can easily get in and clog it up. A little closing 'door' would be nice or something else to make the thing 'industrial strength' rather than 'pseudo industrial strength'. Now the feeling you get is that the titanium is included more to show-off rather than to serve a practical purpose, and that's like going off road with a BMW X5 and getting stuck in the mud (no offense to X5 owners).
Secondly, it would be nice if the the Cruzer Titanium was waterpfoor. Not that it's really important for me, but would be a nice feature to have, especially on a device that is meant to be indestructable. Yet again that whole 'pseudo industrial strength' thing...Read more

So far this is a great little drive. It's much smaller then some other USB drives that I've seen, and the capacity is great at 512 meg. I've had it since December 2004 so I'm on month 4, we'll see if it quits working as others have said, but so far I love it.
The only minor complaint that I have, ok actually 2 very minor things.
1. The ring that attaches to the end of the unit where you clip on the strap was EXTREMELY annoying to get on the device. In fact if you look at the pictures the one where it shows the ring, you can tell that that user also had to stretch the ring out quite a bit to get it in place. I had to use several tools to wedge it into the small space and spin it around to get it into place.
2. The slide mechanism seems to be a little difficult to use. Although this seems to have loosened up a bit through use, when I first got it I had to use two hands to extend the USB connector. But I do really love the ability to retract the...Read more
