Pretty standard USB device IMO (model SDCZ36-016G). Bought one for me and one as a gift. Comes with some security software that I never use, so I wont talk about that. The body seems pretty sturdy and I like the no-cap design...one less piece I have to keep up with. The physical design is solid, no frills...the color choices aren't my favorite, but I've seen much worse. I have the black stick with red slider. So far my only beef with it is the lack of an included lanyard. Its a minor issue as I was able to scavenge one from an older device, but at least SanDisk put a slot to attach one of my own.
I also saw some folks complaining about only seeing 14.9GB in its plugged in, but that's just b/c windows defines 1 GB as 1,073,741,824 bytes vs what most people think, 1,000,000,000 bytes. So when its formatted in Windows, you get the "appearance" of lost storage. To prove the point, when I open the drive's properties, I can see its capacity is 16,000,761,856 bytes.

I am a writer and designer and use these to move scans from one Mac to another. I already owned one, and was very happy with it, so I purchased two more, one as a gift and the second for myself.

I spent over $40.00 at Walmart for a single 16 Gig flash 8 months ago. It was a PNY and performed perfectly, but here I get 2 16 Gig Cruzers for under $30. New computers (ASUS) are capable now of making a USB boot-up flash that totally re-installs the factory defaults. Although these are slightly bigger than the PNY, I like the switch out feature that they incorporate. A perfect companion for sharing music, documents and exe. programs. ScanDisk Rules.
