4GB Sandisk-Cruzer Micro USB 2.0 Retractable, U3 Smart Enabled PenDrive

Comment: Not much to say. It has more capacity than the older U3-Cruzer Micro I have. I bought the 512MB one about 5 years ago for $25, never thinking I could eventually get roughly 4 times the capacity for a third of the price. This new one does have a "cheap" feel to it though, when comparing it to Sandisk's older U3 Cruzer-Micro model. This newer one doesn't have the bloatware on it like the old one came with, so that makes me happy.

All in all, it has 3.73GB (4Gb) capacity (difference is described on wikipedia), retractable connector, and does what it supposed to do, for a decent price. Would recommend.

Comment: I purchased the Sandisk Cruzer Micro 4.0GB flash drive because my sister lost the one I had lent her and the replacement she purchased for me shortly thereafter was not backwards-compatible with Windows 98 -- the computer that hosts my ProMetric beam cross-sectional analyser (a $10,000.00 test instrument that sees frequent use for my website at [...]) runs this OS. Needless to say, it performs absolutely flawlessly!!! I couldn't be more satisfied. It was only when I went to write this review that I saw other users of this product who were dissatisfied with it. Mine did *NOT* come loaded with any extra software to "throw a monkey wrench into the works" as it were (which I would most likely have deep-sixed anyway), so I have no complains in that department.

Comment: The one thing I do not like about SanDisk's drives are that they come with their U3 software pre-installed.
However, they now include an option to uninstall that stuff, which I always do (it only work with Windows, not on a Mac).

Specs:
Size - 4 GB
Indicator light pulses when not in use & flashes when in use - annoying, so I put permanent marker over the light to decrease its brightness, which works well.

Just plug in and go, overall a good product. I don't have any complaints (except for the light, which I fixed) so far.

Comment: Great quality, good price.
Except they have all that extra junk on there (like virus scanner, games etc) I don't need that. You can choose not to install it.
Otherwise perfect!
