The sandisk ultra is rated with a write speed of 10mb/s it is slightly faster than the regular flashdrive. design is great and i don't feel that the plastic is cheap as reported by many.

observations:
- key chain hole is big enough for key chain unlike sandisk cruzer.
- comes with red led working light.
- sliding design keeps usb port out of the way.

i paid us$8 for the 8gb version and i feel that this is definately very cost effective and handy.

summary:
- fast, low cost and sleek looker/performer.

i'd personally recommend buying this flashdrive.

The Sandisk Ultra 8GB Flash Drive transfers data quickly. It reads/writes approx 8 mb per second.
Also, it fits on your key chain and priced well.

I purchased this drive for it's speed and shape. I wanted a quick drive, but not at the 3.0 price point, and I wanted it to fit on my key chain, so I couldn't lose my flash drive again. This drive works well, but my only gripe is, it doesn't stay closed. I always pull it out of my pocket and its open. Good speed for a 2.0 drive.
