The HP Drive Key II is a small external USB 2.0 flash storage device. Light weight and compact, the HP Drive Key II is ideal for users on the go. Once the HP Drive Key II is plugged into the USB port of a PC, it acts like any other mass storage device. The host computer immediately detects the HP Drive Key II, recognizing it as a supplementary drive and assigns it a drive letter. Files located on the system hard drive can be moved to the device for storage or for transfer to another computer, much as would be done with a diskette drive. With the integrated data protection light, the HP Drive Key II will blink until the data is safely stored. The benefit of the HP Drive Key II is that it offers over 150 times more storage capacity than a standard diskette drive, and the flexibility of transporting data on a small storage device versus a laptop, bulky removable drive or various diskettes.
