The compatibility between Macs and PCs is great and it was plug and play from the beginning.However, there are lots of these drives on the market, and I've decided to buy a second one - with more memory and better construction. Through normal use, the blue part of my Micro Vault is now separated from the bottom, and comes off every time I try to remove the top. This leaves the insides exposed, and I'm sure that can't be so good.
