Product Description
The Sony MicroVault Click Turbo USB Flash Drive is ideal for sharing heavy-duty multimedia or graphic intensive presentation, or multi-gigabyte worth of data speedily, thanks to its incredibly fast read & write speeds. It has a one-piece design with a retractable USB connector to protect the connector from dirt or damage while not in use, and clicks like a pen to expose the USB connector when you want to store your favorite movies, music and photos. Plug into the USB Port of your computer, it is incredibly easy to store your data - just simply drag and drop files in it like any hard drive. With up to 31MB/s read and 11MB/s write speeds, large files can be transferred quickly and easily to share with colleagues and friends via Hi-Speed USB 2.0 connectivity. Plus a bright prism LED is illuminated on the device while it is in use, letting you know your data is being transferred safely.

i have a panasonic toughbook, and those of you who owned one probably encountered the same issues i have with the usb not working.
MIS techies got it to work with other peripherals, but it just wouldn't accept the different usb key drives i bought from staples or the ones my friends gave me to try out.
finally the techies suggested to get a Sony drive for compatibility and performance, and it worked without any problems.

Hate any USB drive with a cap because the cap inevitably gets lost, the cover is spring loaded so that it automatically slides into place over the USB plug when the drive is un-plugged. Use this as a bootable disk with Linux based computer repair and recovery tools, very handy to have around, still works just fine after going a full cycle in the clothes washer.
