Super Talent Elite Series - Nickel Metal 16 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive STU16NIKB (Black)

Bought this drive elsewhere on the web for about $1/GB. It was a coupon promotion and is no longer available for that price.

The good:
Heavy metal feel. Quality construction. No physical drive errors on testing. Great price: got it for about $1/GB with free shipping after coupon code. Pretty snappy speeds compared to Kingston Data Traveler 410 "High Speed" 32GB (see below). Red LED is muted and not overpowering like many drives.

The ok:
LED stays lit and then blinks when you are accessing the drive. Most other drives only have the LED lit when accessing the drive. Key chain can only be removed...permanently. That is, there is no easy way to remove the chain and reattach it unless you have an extra key ring around.

The interesting:
This has nothing to do with the product but I bought my first 1GB USB drive in 2001 for about $100 ($100/GB). This drive has 32x the size for 35% of the price (~$1/GB). Crazy...Read more

This thing feels like it was made out of a recycled Cadillac. Looks great. Awesome weight to it. No problems transferring any data. Great purchase. The little hook is cool also.

This product is really good, for those who don't want to loose it, it has the keychain extension as well as a thick outer cover that is very smooth and shiny. Recommend to anyone.
