Transcend JetFlash V30 - 1 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive

Comment: I got three of the little drives. I have moved files with them, but I purchased them to be able to provide different libraries of music for the radio in my truck. If the manufacturers read this, I would have liked a simple, inexpensive string for carrying it around my neck, but I am bright enough to figure that out on my own. Just saying . .

When I read reviews, I'm looking for someone to tell me the product worked or didn't work . . was worth it . . or was not. These worked and continue to work. They are way inexpensive. I do not know for sped . . fast or slow; I know that I plug them into my computer, drop the MP3 files on them I want to hear, plug the unit into the USB port in my radio, and listen.

Comment: I have been looking for over 2 years for a 1 GB flash drive to use for transferring machine embroidery files from my laptop to my Pfaff computerized embroidery machine. A couple of years ago, a 1GB flash drive was easy to find but cost around $49 where I live. I gritted my teeth and bought one, a SanDisc Cruzer, only to find that my sewing machine would not recognize it, no matter what I did, including reformatting the drive and removing the software from it. So I bought another one, a different brand, and had the same result. At least the second one did not cost quite as much by this time. I quit looking for quite a while, thinking nothing would work. But I guess the third time is a charm. I took a chance, threw my $10 at this sleek little Transcend flash drive, and it arrived today (7 days ahead of schedule, too!) I looked at it on my laptop to see if there was any software on it, found it to be perfectly empty, and then when I plugged it into my embroidery machine, Wow!! It was recognized and I was immediately able to use it for transferring files. What I like best about this little Transcend 30 drive (aside from having my Pfaff Creative Vision recognize it), is that if you want software and security stuff for your data, you can download them free off the internet. What you get in the mail is just a simple, empty, wonderful, easy to use, sturdily encased little dearie of a flash drive. The only thing I do not like about it is the cap. While it fits tightly and won't come off easily, it is not attached in any way to the flash drive, so when the drive is in your laptop or sewing machine or whatever, you must keep track of the little cap. It looks to me like it would be easily misplaced. But I think that's a minor problem. I'm ordering two more right away, simply because 1 GB drives are getting very hard to find. And I KNOW this brand will work on my machine. I'm a happy soul.

Comment: Our office received 5 of the Trancend 1 GB Jetflash V30. We purchased them to use with our digital photo receivers. We were searching for a small, discreet flash drive that wouldn't stick out of the side of the frame too much. The product was smaller than we hoped for and worked great. Everyone in our office was very pleased with the time it took to receive the drives, the look of the drives and how well they worked. If we need more in the future we will choose this product.
